Prior to becoming a therapist I was in business in the fields of sales and management. I have years of experience working with people from different perspectives.
Currently, I have a private practice in the Akron area (Medina) and specialize in work with adolescents and adults. My approach is often talk therapy, however, other interventions such as journaling, art, music, and a more holistic stance is delved into with the client. Help is available for parent-child conflicts, school problems, depression and anxiety, marital and couple conflicts, premarital concerns, building harmony in blended families, building self confidence, stress, intra and inter personal communication , loneliness, age-related adjustments, mid-life issues including career concerns, drug and alcohol issues.
Business people have used me to help them with motivation, employee assistance, coaching, and interoffice communications and relationships.
I am certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and have completed trainings for Internal Family Systems (IFS) through the Center for Self Leadership.
Professional and clinical memberships include: The American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists
I also make use of teletherapy for clients that are interested.
